I've been tossing around quite a few ideas for what my next series of paintings will be on and I think I've finally decided on something that I'm really excited about. I want to create a series based on my ancestors (predominently female)/family tree. This is the initial idea sketch I've come up with and I think I'm liking where it's going. I'll keep you updated as to how it evolves.

Ooooh, yes I love this idea.
I showed my friend your blog the other day and she about flipped. She loved your work, as do I. I can't wait to see this series. I saw an artist in Park City who did a series of 3D painting based on her ancestors with clips of stories and bits and pieces of things from their time worked into the paintings. They were very moving and real. I'll be watching for your update. ;)
